You might have be one of the 10 million viewers that have seen a marriage proposal viral video in Home Depot on YouTube and wondered “Who sings that amazing song they’re all dancing to?” The artist is Betty Who, one you should definitely keep your eye on. Born in Sydney, Australia, Betty Who (whose real name is Jessica Newham) is now a New York based singer/songwriter that was recently signed to RCA in the U.S. And Columbia in the U.K.
Last night, Betty, alongside members from Hot Chelle Rae and We The Kings, performed at Lily White Clothing’s Charmed Life event in Downtown Los Angeles for a packed house, full of music industry professionals and the fashion elite. Betty was accompanied by her producer and co-writer, Peter Thomas, on acoustic guitar. The duo captured attention from the audience instantly. She closed out the night, performing all four songs from her EP “The Movement.” Betty’s undeniable charisma and powerhouse voice blew everyone away.
